97-01 OEM AMC Rear Tire Carrier Install

An extremely rare item, the AMC / Chrysler OEM spare tire carrier was an option on early 90s era Cherokee XJ models. There were 2 main types of tire carriers, and for the purpose of this post we will focus on the bumper-mounted tire carrier. These tire carriers were only offered on earlier model Cherokees, pre-97. So, if you have a 97-01 model, this requires you to drill into your bumper, mount the catch on your hatch and use a license plate relocation kit, like this one from Quadratec.

Here are some pictures of how it looked like from the factory, as well as some parts diagrams and some example installations. Thanks to user DarrellXJ for the pictures on CherokeeForum.com.

WB: OpenEmu is awesome!

OpenEmu-icon-300x300I’ve messed around with emulation before, and thanks to a coworker who recommended me to OpenEmu, I have an awesome retro gaming library. Unfortunately only for Mac OSX.. sorry my PC friends.

Also, right off the bat you might notice that it doesn’t have all of the consoles. Don’t worry – there are plenty of plugins on their github page.

Ok, back to work!

Track Use Only!

This was another project for school, which was intended to raise awareness about the dangers of racing on the street. The title “Track Use Only” was intended to encourage car enthusiasts to take their cars to the track if they want to go fast.

I set the site up here: http://markfazzio.com/legacy/trackuseonly

Man, it’s fun resurrecting these old projects!

My First Website Ever

Way back when Flash was still new and cool, we were given a “how-to site” project for school, where we were instructed to make a tutorial website using Flash. I decided to give people advice on how to throw a good college party. It’s funny to re-visit it and look at how far I’ve progressed in my career.

I set up a link to it here: http://markfazzio.com/legacy/howtosite/

Happy New Year!

Happy new year everybody! 2015 is going to bring a lot of exciting things for many of us. I will leave with this quote from Benjamin Franklin:

“If you do tomorrow what you did today, you will get tomorrow, what you got today.”

Do something different tomorrow.
